Bathurst is approximately 200 kilometres (120 mi) north-west of Sydney Today, Bathurst is synonymous with motorsport, being the site of the Mount Panorama motor racing circuit. It hosts the Bathurst 12 Hour motor race each February, the Bathurst Motor Festival every Easter, and the Bathurst 1000 motor race each October. Widely regarded as the pinnacle of motorsport in Australia, the Bathurst 1000 is colloquially known as The Great Race among motorsport fans and media. The race concept originated with the 1960 Armstrong 500 at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, before being relocated to Bathurst in 1963 and continuing there in every year since.

Shutterbox had the pleasure of capturing the spirit of sportsmanship at the prize giving night for the Wellington Area Sport Club’s rugby and netball teams with our Photo booth! These folks sure do know how to be fierce on the field and in photos! A very festive and joyful event!
